I didn’t start this company by guessing how bad the home improvement industry is. I started it because I was inside the machine, and I watched it break people.

I used to work for one of the "big guys"—the companies with the slick trucks, the professional uniforms, and the massive marketing budgets. I sat at kitchen tables, looked homeowners in the eye, and promised them a gold-standard project. I was honest. I wrote perfect, detail-oriented contracts to protect them.

But behind closed doors, the company moved the goalposts.

They didn't care about the homeowner, the craftsmanship, or my reputation. They only cared about quotas. My breaking point came when the company intentionally screwed up a job, cutting corners and slashing quality on the back end just to grab a few extra dollars of profit. They burned the customer's trust, and they used my face and my reputation to do it.

I realized then that a good salesperson and a good contract mean absolutely nothing if the executives at the top are greedy. I walked away, but the problem is bigger than one company. I have friends working across this industry, and the stories are all the same. The machine won't stop because it's making too much money pulling these exact scams.

The Game Ends Today.

I couldn't be a part of a system that exploits people anymore. So, I took everything I learned behind closed doors, and I built a Firewall.
